Racketeering = Refuge UK +Brent Council/Women’s Aid + Brent and Kilburn Times!

On Thursday July 9, 2026, the Brent and Kilburn Times newspaper as usual featured a letter by Refuge UK, which is the well-known provider of safe places for women and their children suffering from domestic abuse. Or so we are repeatedly told!

The writer Ellie Butt was welcoming the huge 10-year increase in life sentences for domestic homicides, meaning men!  Sadly, this lady does not consider women to possess agency for their own similar actions. She also welcomes the recognition that women who kill their abusers (alleged?) should not be subject to these stronger sentencing provisions. Ms Butt is strident, as usual in claiming that Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) will not be tolerated.

Brent Council’s own domestic violence agency, Brent Domestic Violence Advocacy Project (BDVAP) exercises total gender discrimination in service provision. Via my local MP Barry Gardiner and a Freedom of Information request, we were informed that ‘In constitution and practice the BDVAP will only help female survivors of domestic abuse.’

Brent council avoided answering that question for 8 months.

The BDVAP is a satellite of Women’s Aid which totally controls domestic violence services for Brent council and indeed many other councils as well. In July 2026, Brent council’s own website for domestic violence advises victims to call the National Domestic Violence Helpline, which is run by…. Refuge UK and Women’s Aid.

Consider this, in 2024/5 the Office for National Statistics reported that domestic violence is committed by female abusers at 42% and male abusers 58%.

The Brent and Kilburn Times newspaper has never to my knowledge acknowledged that males can be victims of domestic abuse. It makes a total mockery of impartial professionalism or journalistic integrity. But we must remember it has Brent in the title. For example, Brent councils own quarterly magazine Your Brent for summer 2026 has a full page about VAWG.

Expecting equality or impartial professionalism for male DV victims in Brent is the equivalent of the bad old days in the US under Jim Crow if a black man asked the local office of the Ku Klux Khan for help with his civil rights.  

Refuge UK has a vast unregulated property portfolio, avoiding all the regulations and checks that a normal property portfolio would be subject to. Its CEO is paid more than the Prime Minister, and a recent audit showed that it had £7.5m in the bank. Refuge UK receives £31.9m funding, mostly Govt funded, while the only charity for male victims receives £141,000. So much for the 42 v 58% rate of domestic violence perpetration!

Women’s Aid and Refuge UK strongly led a campaign called 19 Child Homicides some years ago claiming that court ordered child contact with abusive dads was killing children. Two months before its publication, in a Women’s Aid Refuge a mother killed her two children on the grounds that ‘she wanted to hurt the father,’ who she had repeatedly falsely accused of domestic abuse.

19 Child Homicides was later exposed as very inaccurate, what a surprise? Sickeningly, it was presented 2 months after 2 babies were killed in one of its own Refuges, but most surprisingly omitted!

Brent Councils exercise of total discrimination where DV is concerned starts at source. The councils DV agency B.D.V.A.P is an offshoot of Women’s Aid and will in practice only accept evidence from so called ‘female survivors.’ This means that half of all children’s parents are excluded, even and especially if the dad has been a primary carer of the children. Brent engages its M.A.R.A.C. (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference) programme which insists that the ‘perpetrator’ (male) must NOT be told the evidence which is NOT presented to the conference, rather the BDVAP presents its verdict on the evidence which it has led and processed in secret to the conference, thus enabling the mother even if a non-primary carer of the children to obtain injunctions end exclusionary orders against the father on a without notice basis from the family court.

The father is then booted from the family home and caring for the children without ever having seen the evidence which was so successfully used against him. Furthermore, if the mother has insufficient evidence for the BDVAP advocate, the BDVAP on Brent’s behalf will eagerly lead and suggest ‘better’ evidence to enable an injunction without notice against the father. This also means that the mother then gets govt funded legal aid subject to financial means. Effectively, Brent Council is funding discriminatory social engineering irrespective of the harm this does to totally innocent children.

And the father has still not seen the evidence against him to protect either himself or the children!

Guilt is determined by gender, allegations are deemed evidence, and Brent will eagerly embellish and facilitate false allegations of DV from females.

This culture is disastrous for children, families and wider society. The UK is bottom of all 37 O.E.C.D. nations on children’s welfare post-divorce/separation. Brent is one of the worst boroughs in the UK for fatherlessness, teenage pregnancy, drug dealing, knife and gun crime.

What a surprise!

I take great heart from the fact that the Labour govt is forced to accept a proper investigation into the horrific grooming and rapes of vulnerable white girls by gangs of men from mainly Pakistani origin.

I look forward to the day when my evidence on Brent councils’ toxic culture of gender hatred will be investigated.

The only place for these sick gendered racketeering advocates is prison!
