Ann Widdecombe – MEN-Second-Class Citizens?

As a longstanding advocate of shared parenting in a meaningful context since

2007, I normally shy away from anything got to do with men’s rights. My

reasoning is very simple, fathers have no rights under the Children Act 1989. If

in doubt, read Section 2, subsection 4 of the CA 1989!

The rights are with the children, NOT the parents!

That said, the real problem within the CA 1989 is the interpretation and

implementation of this, which far too often is a subversion of the Welfare of

the Child being Paramount principle. This is especially true of the institutional

malpractice at local authority level which is usually the gateway to the family

courts. And sadly, the entry far too often determines the outcome!

At 19:33 (in the video below), I speak about this in an interview with Ann

Widdecombe. Her intellect and ability to grasp the issue is central to this being

the best interview I have ever done. That, plus of course a professional studio.

John Barry and Martin Daubney, who also feature in this video were pivotal in

introducing me to Ann Widdecombe, for which I thank them.

The other contributors to this video are excellent and I strongly recommend

listening to the video in its entirety.
